See work at a glance on the dashboard
Turn tasks from every note you can access into numbers and charts, and build your own charts by project or assignee.
Applies to Web · Mac · iPhone app
The Dashboard gathers tasks from the notes you can access and shows them as numbers and charts. The Work at a glance section at the top always has the same layout; below it, you can build your own dashboards from charts you choose. Open it from Dashboard in the sidebar (on a phone, in the bottom tab bar).
Work at a glance
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Task instruments | All tasks (the ± figure next to it is this week’s completions minus last week’s), Percent done, Overdue, and Due within 7 days (with how many are due today) |
| In progress now / Urgent tasks | Tasks in progress first, then overdue, due-today and due-within-7-days tasks by deadline. With nothing in progress, the card is titled “Urgent tasks”. Click a task to open it. |
| Completion flow | Done this week, done last week, and completions per day over recent days |
| Monthly deadline calendar | How many tasks are due on each day this month. Click a day to open it in the calendar. |
| Status mix | Task counts in the to do, in progress and done groups |
| Progress by assignee | Done / total for each person |
Deadlines (today, overdue) are counted by dates in this device’s time zone. Widgets and Apple Watch use Korea time, so outside Korea the numbers can differ around midnight. The “As of {n} min ago” note under the date shows when the numbers were calculated; click Reload to refresh them.
Build your own dashboard
- Click New dashboard (or Create your first dashboard) and enter a name (1–120 characters).
- A new dashboard starts with four charts: all tasks, task completion rate, tasks by status and tasks by assignee.
- Click Add chart and set it up in Chart settings.
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Chart type | Number · Bar chart · Donut chart · Trend chart · Data table |
| Measure | Task count · Percent done |
| Group by | By status · By assignee · By notebook · By project · By due week |
| Chart width | Standard width · Full width |
| Filters | Notebook · Project · Assignee · Status |
| Date field | Limit to a start and end date by due date, created date or completed date. |
Arrange and manage
- Click Edit layout to get ←/→, settings and delete buttons on each chart; you can also drag charts to reorder them. Rename and Delete dashboard appear in this mode too. Click Finish editing when you’re done.
- With several dashboards, switch between them with the menu next to the title. On a phone, the buttons move into the ⋯ (Dashboard menu).
- Deleting a dashboard only removes its chart layout; your notes and tasks are untouched.
- Limits: 20 dashboards, 24 charts per dashboard.
Good to know
- Each chart has View chart data for the numbers as a table, and Source tasks: {n} to list the tasks it counts and open any of them.
- Trend charts leave out tasks without a due date. In by-project charts, a task that belongs to several projects is counted once in each.
- Status groups and names follow your status settings. The iPhone and Mac widgets and Apple Watch use the same summary, with dates in Korea time (see Widgets and Apple Watch).
