Set alarms
Get notified on your devices at a set time (the Mac app while it is running) — attached to a task block or on its own.

An alarm is a personal “ping me at this time”. It can be unrelated to any task, like checking an incubator, or tied to a scheduled task, like ten minutes before it starts. Alarms never change your notes or tasks, and they ring only for you.
Before you start
- In a browser or the iPhone app, alarms arrive as push notifications. Turn on push on each device where you want them. See Get notifications.
- The server sends these pushes, so you still get them with the browser tab or the iPhone app closed, as long as push is on.
- The Mac app doesn’t use push. It shows an alarm as a macOS banner only while the app is running. Closing the window keeps it running, but after you choose Quit no banners appear.
Set an alarm
- In Calendar, switch the view to Time grid.
- Click Alarm in the toolbar. To attach it to a task, click the task’s block to open Schedule task and click Alarm there.
- Type the Alarm text (up to 120 characters). If you opened it from a task, the task’s text is filled in.
- Pick a time using any of the options below; the alarm is set as soon as you pick.

Pending and rung alarms
- Pending alarms (or Alarms for this task, when opened from a task) at the bottom of the dialog lists what’s waiting, in time order. Delete one with its trash button.
- Alarms that have gone off stay under Rang for 24 hours. Click Again in 10 min to have one ring again.
- The time grid shows an alarm-clock icon at each alarm’s time, and on any task block with an alarm. The number next to the Alarm button is how many alarms are pending.

- Times are Seoul time. You can’t set an alarm in the past.
- An alarm attached to a task still rings even if the task is deleted. Delete the alarm too if you no longer need it.
- In a browser notification, clicking an alarm attached to a task opens that note. Notifications from the iPhone and Mac apps don’t take you to the note — open the Notifications bell in the app instead.
